Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I am pregnant?

Usually, the first sign of pregnancy is a missed period, but there are other early symptoms too. A change in your menstrual cycle can happen for several reasons. Read “Pregnant?” to learn the different signs of pregnancy. Then, give us a call. We will be happy to provide you with a free pregnancy test in our office.

What are the signs of an STD?

Unfortunately, many sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) have no signs or symptoms, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pass them to your partner. If left untreated, many STDs can lead to infertility, organ damage, and worse. No method, including condoms, is completely foolproof. We will give you referrals for both STD testing and treatment. Don’t wait!

When should I get an ultrasound?

After you receive a positive result from your pregnancy test at Metro Women’s Center, we will give you a referral for a limited obstetrical ultrasound. This is one of the most important tests you can have to confirm your pregnancy.
