Will you join me?
All good things begin with prayer, a good meal, a good sermon, even (at least for now) a good sporting event. So, it seems fitting to start our blog with prayer. Will you join us for a week of prayer?
40 Days of Prayer: Day 1
Join MWC in praying today for all women who are just finding out about a pregnancy, that they would fall in love with their babies.
“For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,” 1 John 3:11
40 Days of Prayer: Day 2
Join MWC in praying today for all the men who are just finding out that THEY are pregnant, that they would fall in love with their babies.
“By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” 1 John 3:16
40 Days of Prayer: Day 3
Join MWC in praying today for the doctors who are involved in abortion, whether they are teaching others or doing the procedures themselves that they would stop their involvement due to a change in their hearts.
“But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:29
40 Days of Prayer: Day 4
Join MWC in praying today that fear would not drive the choice to abort a pregnancy for anyone whether the parties involved are married or single, young or old.
“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?…It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” Psalm 119: 6,8
40 Days of Prayer: Day 5
Join MWC in praying today for the non-medical staff people and clinic escorts involved in abortion, that they would stop their involvement due to a change in their hearts.
“For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:3-7
40 Days of Prayer: Day 6
Join MWC in praying today for the families of those experiencing unplanned-for pregnancies that they would offer love and support rather than judgment and criticism.
“Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” Philippians 2:1-4
40 Days of Prayer: Day 7
Join MWC in praying today for the nurses who are involved in abortion, that they would stop their involvement due to a change in their hearts.
“My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent. If they say, “Come with us, Let us lie in wait for blood, Let us ambush the innocent without cause; Let us swallow them alive like Sheol, Even whole, as those who go down to the pit; We will find all kinds of precious wealth, We will fill our houses with spoil; Throw in your lot with us, We shall all have one purse,” My son, do not walk in the way with them. Keep your feet from their path.” Proverbs 1:10-15
